Ayden is 11 Months!

Hey, there! There is an 11-month-old in da house!!! This guy keeps growing, keeps smiling and keeps waking me up at night. Boo on that one.

Since I guess I have to do a 1 Year post in the near future, we'll keep this short and sweet. Oh yes, also because I don't have any more time!

This guy babbles (loves to say uh-oh and dadadada), loves to eat (like his sister - yay!), has taken some little steps but we haven't given in to say he is walking just yet. He follows everyone around and climbs up their legs - wants to play! He slaps me around most of the day and loves to stick his finger up my nose while nursing.

He'll be running around in no time!
He's a stinker, he'll go for everything he shouldn't have:)
He still is nursing and appears to be making a demand that we not move toward weaning....to be continued. Mama wants to wean;) He will drink whole milk, so that is good! I am able to be away from him for a long period of time and he is just fine - very freeing for me, though it does feel weird!
A good eater - yay!
He is very interested in Abby and basically goes for it. He'll pull up on her, try and touch her face, not afraid at all. So far, so good - poor Abby puts up with a lot with the kids:) He likes his baths, but has some mild eczema that we need to keep up with.

Bathtime!
He doesn't love getting out, you have to play and tickle him
Happy this night!
He still adores his siblings and always wants to get in on what they are doing:) They both pick him up and move him around despite Dave and I trying to curb that! Dave and Collin sometimes "Roar!" back and forth and Ayden LOVES to join in. He has the cutest roar:)  Collin will push, pull, hit (not hard, like a strong burping motion) but Ayden doesn't get upset. I think he is just silently making note...

Helping Mommy workout:)
Kate, probably "playing school" and reading to Collin. Ayden wants in.
Snooping! (Kate was the instigator though Collin is the one that thinks these presents should be opened NOW!)
He usually rides pretty well in the car, he takes a morning nap and afternoon nap, but I just can't believe how often we are doing something else (in the car, at a doctor appt, etc) and therefore at home the length varies greatly. Not so easy for me to plan or get things done, but oh well. It's a phase, we'll get it straightened out! On the night front...well, we haven't fixed all the damage done while he was sick. He wants Mommy and wants to nurse at night. I'm getting up twice right now but he has decided to get up at 5 a.m.!!! NO!!!! The others did not do this to us. If I've been up a lot in the night, I make Dave get up and I catch another hour or two. Sometimes, I just have to power through. Hoping we can also get him back to bed and wake for the day later in the morning!

I was nursing him one morning and he just passed out.
He doesn't do it that often.
But of course, I couldn't snuggle him. Or go put him in his crib.
We had to get in the car for a doctor appointment :(
He is our super-smiley baby but he is keeping that just for his inner circle now. Not as many big smiles for strangers! They get a stare-down:)
He likes Mommy
He likes to snuggle and gives the best hugs. He is a such joy and can cheer up anyone's day! Love you, sweetie!

  1. Wow - his first Christmas! Seems like a "first Christmas baby" should be a tiny infant wearing 0-3 month sized clothes! A big little guy already!

Merry Christmas to all the Lenningers!
