What a week we had! Gma Bobbi and Gpa Ron came up to
Wisconsin to visit for a whole week and on top of having fun visiting with
them, we enjoyed the warm weather they brought! We had some very unseasonably
amazing temperatures and definitely had fun getting back outside. Temps were in the 60s! (well, not in these pictures)
They arrived Friday afternoon and luckily Dave was already
home! He had to be on call the first weekend they were here, which was a bummer
and he did get called in overnight. I have mixed feelings about this as it is
not as much fun for him when he may get called in, he can’t imbibe if we are maybe doing so…:) and our visitors don’t get as much time with him. BUT, if he gets called in and
we have guests – I still have some help at home! I’ll always take that:) We Face Timed with Aunt Laurie one time and
she showed us her apartment and Kate wanted to talk to her a bunch:) They still
get super silly and loud whenever we Face Time, making it a little difficult to
actually have great conversation, but oh well, it was great to see her!
| We brought up something for Ayden. They instantly jumped in. |
Did I mention yet that Kate was asked to be part of a small
group of dancers to do a tap routine in Mauston’s high school musical, Shrek?
How about that?! They are supposed to be mice and end up following the pied
piper. There are two five-year-olds and then older girls, I’m a little nervous
about it, but she has at least performed on that stage already. But I’m not
sure she understands how high school musicals work… She was super excited about
it and we said we’d do it. It has added many more practices into our weeks this
March and on Sunday nights, she has practices at her studio. So, we dragged all
of us down to Mauston and while she practiced, we “went to Mexico” next door
and had a nice meal out! (She had a quesadilla on the way home from practice).

I had a doctor appointment Monday morning and it was super
helpful to have Gpa watch Kate and Collin at home while Gma and I took Ayden
down to the Dells. She watched Ayden out in the waiting room while I went in,
so that was nice! The PA that I saw
did come out to see him when we were done, she couldn’t believe how big he was,
of course. It is so funny to think that not that many months ago, Angie (my PA)
and I were in the exam room getting frustrated when we couldn’t find his
heartbeat for the longest time. That seems ages ago!
We made some super yummy meals, played outside, went for
walks, played on the swing set, watched
a few movies and had lots of fun chasing the kids around and holding Ayden
(doing laundry due to massive amounts of spit up). I thoroughly enjoyed
dropping Kate off - just us girls:) I was able to watch
Kate practice on stage at the high school which was so crazy! The performances are this weekend - Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday matinee!
Gpa and Gma headed back to Missouri Friday morning and I'm sure they were happy to have a little quiet! A happy birthday to Gma Bobbi - her birthday was March 17! Kate made many cards for her while she was here:) I wish I had gotten more pictures from the week!
