Ayden is 2 Months!

Our youngest is already two months old. Le sigh. This little guy is changing every day. He is gaining weight and starting to get chubby already! He is SO smiley and is starting to coo and "talk" more. He loves just laying on his changing table in our great room and talking and smiling at anyone who is there. His little legs are always kicking. His eyes are still dark blue and we are anxiously awaiting their final color:) I need to go through his clothes and put away another batch of onesies. He is in 6 month clothing, usually hand-me-downs from Collin. He still likes to be held but wants to hold his head up if you have him upright, and he is quite good at it. He loves staring up at our big window, the loft? (Dave's deer hide??) and fans of course!

If we are home and have a "regular" schedule, he can be pretty consistent. On those days (my favorite) he wakes up around 6:30 a.m., will take a 2-3 hour nap beginning between 8- 9 a.m. and then again after lunch which often coincides with Collin's (and I hear angels sing). He will take a couple catnaps or take another small one in the evening. Sometimes during supper which allows us to all eat together. However, our days are rarely similar and so with all the various activities, his schedule gets mixed up often.

He sleeps well at night. He is swaddled, sometimes has a sound machine and is just now sleeping in his crib in his room! My best sleeper still. I have had one complete night (9-10 p.m. to 7 a.m.?) and have had many nights with one waking. Mostly he wakes up twice. The first time he wakes, he goes back down super easy. The second time is trickier and I may not get as much sleep after that (4/4:30 a.m. to our normal waking time). Anytime he is fussy, it is usually gas-related. We have had great success with Gripe Water and Gas Drops. He also sounds congested sometimes and I have just started running a humidifier in his room.

He travels okay. He will fall asleep in the car, but will wake up if you park:( He is no longer taking a paci! I don't know, he just stopped keeping it in his mouth. It was quite useful in the carseat, so I'm bummed about that. He has also not taken a bottle in the last week (tried twice) and that is quite concerning for me. We had to throw out a lot of breastmilk (ahhh!!) and our plan to have others feed him while I get away seems much further away:( Hopefully, it is just a little phase or we can figure it out.

I have lots of little videos of him smiling and cooing, this one is short so it uploaded quickly:) It is from a couple weeks ago I think...

He is averaging three outfits a day due to blowouts and spit up. I am going to move him up to a size 2 diaper and that should help solve the blowout issue. We're also going to try a probiotic, just to see if that changes anything with his spit up.

So serious
Not so serious

I love this look
Look at that belly! He's starting to get chubby:)
Little brother
This sums up my life pretty well right now...
Waiting around at Kate's dance class (he didn't stay in there long)
Our boys
My van is my refuge. My strength.
When out and about, I crawl to the third row to nurse Ayden. Then put him here to change his diaper.
When it is below zero and/or I have a two-year-old I like to refer to as a "flight risk," this is highly important.
I'm peeling this sticker right off, Mom...
She loves to jump in on the pics I'm taking
Happy St. Patty's Day!
What a goon!
