It went pretty well! My only major bummer was we didn't hike. I couldn't get all of us on the trail safely by myself:( so....I'm going to have to have someone come and help watch them or push/carry/wear the kids with me.
There was some programming at the nature center and we enjoyed seeing the animals and playing the games! I LOVE the state parks around here, so wonderful and I can't wait until the kids are just a bit older to really take advantage of all they offer.
Here are the pics...
I've noticed that though I love the days at home with nothing to do (to either do nothing or catch up on everything)...I am really ready to go out and tackle trips and activities with the kiddos. If the weather is good, there is so much to do and I want to do it! The kids are pretty happy about that, but I need to make sure I don't mess with them and their "schedule" too much. We will be needing to "sleep train" Ayden soon (now?!) and I will have to reign it in a bit and stay home more to help with that. Hmm....we'll see if I can stick to my guns....
The first session was for feeding the animals. These turtles were crazy hungry, I was totally grossed out
The little nature center had a few other exhibits as well
Little frogs eating too
It is so beautiful there. A picnic lunch in the shade
Little man, happy while we ate The kids played frisbee and kicked the soccer ball around after their lunch
A couple of cool dudes Mommy trying to see if we'll fit on the trail...
Nope:( Back to the main beach It was a very busy Tuesday at the park!
Heading back to the nature center for more activities
This was a fun game about the water cycle, she made a bracelet
These were blocks made from a small tree, so neat!
They were pretty good, so we celebrated by grabbing Culver's and eating it at another park in Mauston
