Wildcat Mountain State Park

Okay. Last weekend was weird and Dave was on call for just Saturday. We worked on things around the house (you won't recognize our front yard!) and watched the Hawkeyes  - whoa, baby! Can't believe it!

Sunday was supposed to be beautiful and we were so happy to be home, with no commitments and so we decided to head out of town and explore! Dave spent the morning sighting his rifle for deer season - opening weekend is coming up! After that, we loaded up the kids and went to Wildcat Mountain State Park. Wisconsin has a ton of state parks and a LOT near us. I love going to them and we have set a family goal to visit every one!

It was beautiful, wonderful temperature, the kids did great and Dave and I sure got our workout in! We are definitely going back, it would be beautiful with leaves! And, I'm thinking about skiing it this winter...we'll see. Here are the pics!

He was posing for this, we were laughing about the cell phone and coffee
Just starting out!

Kate was the leader and led the whole way!

It was the definition of a perfect day
Ayden loves hiking!
I wore him in the front, but need to practice flipping my Ergo to the back!
The leaves were all down, the moss was beautiful!
And there were very cool rocks/bluffs
Collin rode the whole way on Dave's back!
He loved it
Look how strong he is! He moved this tree so we could keep going!
Haha :) It was so cool. Bent at a 90 degree angle.

This would probably be my perfect Sunday. We even hit a special church service at 4 p.m. on our way back to the house. Then had a roast in the crock pot for supper and watched football!
